Where do I start? Ina is a brilliant, talented, creative, clever, professional illustrator and a pure joy to work with. I was searching for a certain style and on a whim asked my editor if she knew anyone she directed me to Ina's site. I almost fell off my chair when I saw her work. She was the one.
Creatively we were a match made in heaven and with a few concepts in mind Ina crafted the most magical illustrations for Sleepy Magic. The cover represents the beauty within the book and parents very much resonate with it's dreamy bedtime feel. I love how she mixes traditional techniques and the computer to create unique and one of a kind illustrations. I adored working with Ina and can't wait for us to work on our next project.
After having been told that the cover of a book is crucial in attracting the kind of person who would be interested in the topic, I looked around for help and found that on Ina’s website where she showcased the work that she did on giving ‘The spark of life’ a better image than it previously had (https://www.inawonderworld.com/project/the-spark-of-life-book-cover-design/.)
My popular science book ‘Knowing Being’, which documents how life gave birth to the material world (and not the other way around!), required a special blend of images that mixed the importance and the intelligence of the first one-cellular being and the evolution of a species-specific reality.
It was somewhat of a nebulous mixture of ideas but Ina accomplished that by creating a powerful combination of mystery, thoughtfulness, abstract thinking and a wonder about life.
Ina nailed it. Not only with respect to the quality of the finished product but also in the way in which she intelligently summarised the main thrust of the book by using abstract images each of which captured the mystery of being.
I can thoroughly recommend her work and the warm and caring manner with which she interacts with her clients.
There is so much I can say about Ina. I had a vision for my book. It is a children's book that has been in my heart and mind for many years. When I finally sat down and wrote it, I wondered how I would bring it to life. I scoured the Internet for someone who "got" my vision and found many who didn't.... in the first conversation with Ina I knew that I had found the right person.
She was listening to what I wanted and asked the right questions to create some first draft sketches that brought tears to my eyes. She got it. I was blown away! Then Ina developed the full illustrations and I was beyond thrilled. The attention to detail is incredible, as was the love and care that she put into each illustration. Thank you Ina. PS: I can't wait to work on my next project with you.
Ina is so easy going and fun to work with; she is versatile, creative and very unique! She has a great communication style and answered emails right away. I never felt that I asked too much and I could ask her about anything as she knows a lot in different areas.
I feel so much more confident and actually relieved about my branding, because for me a logo and website creation was a very big “job” and she did it in such a relaxed and professional way. I appreciated that she gave me also her opinion what she liked best and gave me perspective from a professional point of view, this helped me a lot. She couldn’t have done it better!
Overall, it was a great experience and if anyone needs a person for a logo, website or any graphic design I would definitely recommend Ina!
Working with Ina was a dream! She took my ideas of illustrations to accompany my e-book and made them so much more magnificent than I could have imagined. The book comes alive with her illustrations and design work. On top of being a genius, she was super patient with all of my edit requests and my technical difficulties. Hire her – she is the missing ingredient your book needs.
“I’ve worked with many graphic designers but Ina was the best. She took time to discuss my needs and to understand what I wanted. She was professional, open to my ideas and a pleasure to work with. I barely had to make any changes because her work was amazing and I was surprised at how easy and smooth the whole process was. I look forward to working with Ina in the future and I highly recommend her services. Thank you Ina. I love what you did for me.”
Ina was simply a breeze to collaborate with on Skeleton Eater. She has the natural instincts of a storyteller and was able to turn my words into a beautiful piece of visual storytelling. Not only that, she’s super fast and seemingly never short of ideas! I have no hesitation in recommending Ina to any author looking for a visual artist to collaborate with.
I just wanted to say thank you for your professionalism, responsiveness and most importantly; your creative talents helping me develop the Waikare Kitchen packaging.
Your illustration skills captured exactly what I had visualised in my mind. I was very impressed with your ability to translate my ideas into the artwork on our packaging. I am getting some amazing feedback from people and my supermarket customers; and it’s certainly making a positive impact in driving up my sales. So thank you and I look forward to doing more magical work with you going forward.
Thank you so much again for your help – you’re one in a million and I’m delighted I found you. You absolutely met the brief straight off the bat (and it was a pretty strange brief!), you stuck to it while adding your own creative flair which is exactly what I wanted, and you turned around changes very quickly and accurately. I couldn’t have asked for more and I was more than happy to offer to pay you more than you quoted as a result – it was well worth it, so thank you.
“Working with Ina along the journey of publishing ‘But she still has time for me,’ has been an absolute pleasure. Her attention to detail and ability to make amendments within timely deadlines is second to none. Thank you Ina for all your hard work, I look forward to working with you again very soon.”
