I am proud to announce my first own creation made with my sewing machine that is not just a pillow 🙂
I had this top that my sister gave me some time that simply didn’t fit me and I have planned for some time now to turn it into a bag. The fabric was a brown gold and red fabric with stitched indian ornaments on it, so I thought it would look great as a bag. I have finally gotten around to it and here is the result!
I used the inside fabric as well for the inner lining, padded it with some wadding and also gave it some inner pockets with extra fabric. I attached a thick leather strap with metal rings to connect it. I really quite like how the collar of the top turns the front of the bag into a really interesting feature.
